Privacy Notice
In accordance with the Consumer Financial Information Rule of the Gramm Leach Bliley Act.
This document provides you with the types of information collected and how it will be shared with your financial institutions.
Categories of information collected: In the process of negotiating your private student loans or other unsecured debt, we will require the following information:
- SSN
- Address
- DOB
- Account information such as balances, names of creditors, and date of last payment
Consumer Credit Report (for review only, not shared with lenders or collectors)
Categories of information disclosed: The following information will be disclosed to lenders or collection agencies in order to verify loan amounts and to comply with lenders and debt collectors security procedures:
- SSN
- Address
- DOB
Categories of affiliates and nonaffiliated third parties to whom we disclose information:
- Regulatory complaint agencies if there is a need to file a complaint against a lender or debt collector. In these instances only name and address will be provided to the complaint agency.
- We do not disclose client information to any other third parties or affiliates.
Categories of information provided under the joint marketing/servicer provision in section 313.13 of the Privacy Rule:
- None.
Safeguarding procedures: Your information is protected on a secure computer with the latest antivirus and anti-malware software. If at any time the Permission to Communicate form is sent to a lender or collection agency, it is done by a secure fax transmission or through emailing a password protected document.
